Abstract: The author of this paper describes the anomaly high-pressure in the Triassic and the Permo-Carboniferous systems based on the features of the carbonate diagenesis combined with the geological structures, sedimentary characters, petroleum evolution and the exploration practice in the Sichuan Basin. It is concluded that the high-pressure results from various geological actions during the stage of petroleum generation, migration and accumulation in the basin.
