Abstract: In this paper, the application of new technologies to the hydrocarbon exploration and development of the Dongpu Sag in recent years and its effects are briefly introduced. It is shown that the application of the basin simulation technology, the high resolution 3-D seismic processing technology, the seismic inversion technology, the hydrocarbon migration rule research technology and the 3-D seismic tectonic interpretation technology plays an important role in the exploration and development of the complex fault block areas during middle late exploration and development stage. It is hoped that these new technologies have some valuable reference for the exploration and development of the other similar sags.
