Petroleum Geology & Experiment is co-sponsored by the Sinopec Petroleum Exploration and Production Research Institute and the Commission on Petroleum Geology of the Geological Society of China. The journal is dedicated to advancing theoretical and technical developments and facilitating academic exchanges in petroleum geology exploration. It serves as a platform for disseminating emerging theories, methods, and findings related to petroleum geological exploration and experimental techniques from both China and around the world. Our primary readers consist of scientific and technical professionals in the global petroleum and natural gas industry.
Petroleum Geology & Experiment is a bimonthly journal published on the 28th of each odd month. The full-text articles are available on the journal's official website and WeChat Official Account, as well as various databases such as CNKI, WanFang Data, and Weipu. Additionally, a printed version is also circulated, ensuring accessibility to all interested parties.
The journal's regular columns include Basin Reservoirs, Petroleum Geochemistry, Methods and Techniques, and Fluid-Solid Coupling.
Authors can submit manuscripts online through the journal website (www.sysydz.net). Submissions from other channels are not accepted. Authors who have not received notice of acceptance, revision, or rejection from the editorial office within two months after submission are encouraged to contact the editorial office or leave a message on the website. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, the editorial office will promptly notify the author and provide feedback for any required revisions. Authors are expected to return the revised manuscript (along with vector graphics) to the editorial office within one month. If the author fails to do so, without prior statement, the submission will be considered as an automatic withdrawal. If a manuscript is not accepted, the author will also be notified, but the original manuscript will not be returned. Authors must provide a valid contact phone number and email address when submitting.
There are no fees charged to authors for publication in the journal. Once a manuscript is published, the author will be paid according to national regulations, and the first author will receive two print copies of the journal. All authors can freely access the journal's website and download PDFs of published articles. Abstracts (in both Chinese and English) and full texts of published articles will also be included in various domestic and international databases. The copyright of published articles (including but not limited to the rights of reproduction, distribution, information network dissemination, translation, and compilation) is transferred to the editorial office of the journal. The copyright transfer fee is included in the remuneration paid to the author. If you disagree with the above statements, please indicate this at the time of submission, and the editorial office will handle it accordingly.
